Detailed Instructions

We will continuously extend the list of installation instructions as soon as information on the devices is available and tests are possible.

  • Linux, Windows 8.x, (soon also Windows 10)

The current Linux- und Microsoft operating systems support the required protocol EAP-TTLS directly, so that you can use the Generic Settings for configuration.

  • Windows 7

As Windows 7 and predecessors do not support the EAP-TTLS protocol, an additional application for the connection to the "eduroam" network is needed. You can find installation instructions (in German) here.

  • Mac OS X

Instructions (in German)

  • Mac OS X from 10.7

A profile cannot be created manually (as described in the instructions) on these devices; the profile has to be imported via a configuration file.

If you use Safari, you can click on the profile file in the browser of your Apple device and agree to the installation.

With other browsers, save the profile locally and install it by double-clicking on the saved file or send the file to yourself as an e-mail attachment and then install the profile by double-clicking on the attachment.
