Jupyter4Research
The University of Bonn operates its own JupyterHub instance for data-based research and software development under the name Jupyter4Research.
For whom?
Researchers
Jupyter4Research is avalailable to all researchers of the university. The only prerequisite is a uni-iD.What for?
Jupyter4Research offers researchers the following possibilities:
- implement code directly in the browser (in Python, R and Julia)
- analysing data
- documenting scientific workflows
How does it work?
Access to Jupyter4Research is granted via the Research Data Service Center.
Only data and software from research and teaching can be uploaded and developed on Jupyter4Research. The service is not meant for personal data and is not allowed for private use.

Further information
Data and computing processes remain fully within the infrastructure of the University of Bonn and are fully independent from external suppliers such as jupyterhub.org or other cloud suppliers. Using Jupyter4Research has to be in accordance with the terms of service2 of the University of Bonn.
