Artificial Intelligence: Effective Integration of Language Models (KIWIS)

With KIWIS, the University of Bonn and the University IT and Data Center (HRZ) are launching a new service at the HRZ. KIWIS provides easy access to generative language models for studying, teaching, research and administration in a legal and data protection compliant framework. Initialisation, design and further development of the service are handled via the KIWIS DiCe-project.

For whom?

Members of the University of Bonn

The tool is available to all members of the University of Bonn. The login is done using the Uni-ID.

For what?

KIWIS can be used to:

    • access several different AI-language models
    • get notices and tips for the effective use of AI-services
    • createand share several chats and to sort them thematically

    How does it work?

    Using the service

    Before using the service, employees of the university have to finish the mandatory classes in AI literacy. These cover legal basics and help acquiring basic competencies in using generative AI. The classes are labelled as "AI Sct Fit" and fulfill the requirements of the EU AI regulation.

    The Uni-ID is used for the login process.
