GigaMove 2.0

The service is offered by the IT Centre of RWTH Aachen University.

GigaMove 2.0 can be used to exchange large files that are not suitable as email attachments or for storage in sciebo due to their size.

For whom?

Members of the University of Bonn

The data exchange via GigaMove 2.0 can be initiated by persons who belong to the University of Bonn. You will need your University ID to use the service.

Guest students cannot use the service!

What for?

Provision of files

Users of the University of Bonn can make a file of max. 100 GB available via GigaMove.
The file is also scanned for viruses and the link can be protected with a password if required. The file is kept available for download for a maximum of 14 days.

    How does it work?

After the upload, you will receive a link that you can then pass on. However, no Uni ID is necessary for the download itself. However, the opposite way also works, you can receive a large file via GigaMove. To do this, go to the menu item "Request file" in GigaMove 2.0. You will then receive a link that you can pass on and via which a file can be uploaded once.
